Bulpara Inc ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Hairstyle AI mobile application (the "App") for Android and iOS. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.
Information We Collect
- Photos you upload: Selfie photos you provide for hairstyle generation. These photos are sent to our servers for processing and are stored temporarily to deliver results.
- Generated images: AI-generated hairstyle previews created from your photos.
- Device information: Device type, operating system version, and app version, collected for analytics and debugging purposes.
- Purchase information: Subscription status, handled entirely by Google Play or Apple App Store. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but never see your payment details.
Face Data
When you use the App, you take or select a selfie photo for hairstyle generation. Here is exactly what happens with your photo:
- What we collect: Only the selfie photo you provide. Before it leaves your device, we strip all EXIF metadata (location, camera info, timestamps), resize it (max 2048px), and compress it under 2MB.
- How it's used: Your photo is sent to our servers via HTTPS and forwarded to Replicate (replicate.com), a third-party AI service, for hairstyle generation. The photo is used solely for this one-time generation and is not used to train any AI models.
- What we do NOT collect: The App does not collect facial geometry, biometric identifiers, Face ID data, or any data that could be used to uniquely identify you biometrically.
- Server retention: Your uploaded photos and generated images are automatically deleted from our servers within 48 hours. Generated results are downloaded and stored locally on your device.
- Your control: You can delete all locally stored data at any time from the Settings screen within the App.
How We Use Your Information
- To generate AI hairstyle previews from your photos
- To maintain your generation history within the app
- To process and verify Premium subscriptions
- To improve app performance and fix bugs
- To display relevant advertisements (free tier only)
Photo Storage and Deletion
Your uploaded photos and generated images are temporarily stored on secure cloud servers (Cloudflare R2) during processing. Generated images are downloaded to your device after processing completes. Server copies of both uploaded photos and generated images are automatically deleted within 48 hours.
You can delete your local generation history at any time from the Settings screen. All locally stored images and data will be permanently removed from your device.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Replicate: AI model hosting for hairstyle generation. Your photos are sent to Replicate's servers for processing. Replicate does not retain your photos after processing. See Replicate's Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare R2: Temporary cloud storage for photos during processing. Images automatically deleted within 48 hours.
- Google AdMob: Advertising for free tier users (Android). See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Play Billing: Subscription management (Android). See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Apple StoreKit: Subscription management (iOS). See Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Apple Ad Services: Advertising attribution (iOS). See Apple's Privacy Policy.
Data Sharing
Your face photos are shared only with Replicate for the sole purpose of AI hairstyle generation. No other third party receives your photos. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party.
Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption for all data transmission and secure cloud storage. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Children's Privacy
Hairstyle AI is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 18, please contact us.
Your Rights
You can:
- Delete all your data from within the app (Settings > Clear All Data)
- Uninstall the app at any time
- Contact us to request deletion of your data from our servers
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
